CANCELLED Book Break with Connie Dowell | Airplanes and Alibis

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you love historical fiction and a cozy mystery, you’ll enjoy this Book Break with author Connie Dowell. Presented by the partnership between the Virginia Shop and James River Writers, the Book Break series offers the opportunity to connect book lovers to new titles and local authors. Reading the book beforehand is encouraged, but never required—just bring your curiosity and a desire to meet new people.

Perfect for a mystery fan looking to be transported to another time, Dowell’s historical whodunit with LGBT+ characters will leave you spinning. In spring of 1920, murder comes flying into a small Georgia town when the silent film star hosting an air show is stabbed. The police think the case is straightforward, but it has more twists than the stunts the pilots perform.

Richmond author, editor, and book coach Connie Dowell writes the Cozy Mystery Series, as well as books on how to write and stay organized in the process. She and her husband host the One Hundred Centuries history podcast.

For more information, please call the Virginia Shop at 804.692.3524 or email shop@thevirginiashop.org.
