SUMMARY:Culturescape Saturdays | Culture of the Revolutionary Era
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special Saturday event at the Library exploring 
 the cultural history of the Revolutionary era in Virginia\, from food and 
 drink to clothing and folklore. This event will feature lectures by 
 historians Nicole Brown\, Leni Sorensen\, Sarah Meacham and Lynn Rainville. 
 \n\nAttendees will also have the opportunity to visit the Library of 
 Virginia’s exhibition\, “Envisioning Revolution: Virginians in 
 Action\,” which brings to life through art the stories of Revolutionary 
 era Virginians. The exhibition features works by students in Old Dominion 
 University's Department of Art who envisioned Virginians featured in 
 legislative petitions submitted to the state between 1776 and 1786.
