SUMMARY:Research Workshop | Introduction to Research
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to learn how to do research at the Library of 
 Virginia\, but don’t know where to begin? Join Amanda Morrell\, senior 
 reference archivist\, and Annie Hatton\, reference librarian\, for a new 
 workshop. Learn about basic research strategies\, useful websites 
 (including FamilySearch and Ancestry) and how to effectively use AI tools. 
 Participants will take a tour of the Library and receive hands-on 
 experience with records and resources in our collections. No experience is 
 necessary. Plan to arrive early to sign up for a Library of Virginia card 
 at the circulation desk before the workshop begins. \n\nThis event is 
 free\, but registration is required. Limited free parking is available 
 underneath the Library at 800 East Broad Street and is accessible from 8th
