24th Annual Slatten Lecture Featuring Craig R. Scott, MA, CG, FUGA

Craig R. Scott, a nationally known lecturer and the CEO of Heritage Books, Inc., is this year’s speaker at the 24th Annual Slatten Lecture presented by the Friends of the Virginia State Archives at the Library of Virginia. He will discuss research for ancestors who served in this country’s early wars, topics of keen interest as the 250th anniversary of the 1776 Declaration of Independence approaches. Scott will present four lectures drawing on his extensive research experience:

•    Researching Your French and Indian War Ancestor
•    Researching Your Revolutionary War Ancestor: A Case Study
•    Loyalists in the American Revolution
•    Virginia Road Orders: An Untapped Resource

$55 ($40 for Friends of the Virginia State Archives members) includes a box lunch. The deadline for preregistration is Oct. 1, 2024. REGISTER HERE
