LVA On the Go | Smyth County Public Library in Marion
The Library of Virginia is heading your way with LVA On the Go! Our custom van is bringing Library resources, staff expertise and programming to locations across Virginia. Partnering with public libraries and other organizations, our LVA On the Go ambassadors help you engage with local history, family history, the Library’s educational materials and more.
Today's activities will include:
- 10:00 a.m. – Genealogy 101 (beginner family history research)
- 11:00 a.m. – LVA Digital Resources (getting a Library card, using our research materials)
- 1:00 p.m. – Virginia Chronicle (the Library’s newspaper database)
Every community has a story to tell and our LVA On the Go project recognizes and celebrates local history and culture as we connect with every corner of the commonwealth.
