Book Talk with Karl Rhodes | Peggy's War

Book Talk with Karl Rhodes | Peggy's War

Join us for a lunchtime book talk as author Karl Rhodes discusses his highly researched novel, Peggy's War, based on the story of his great-great grandmother, a Unionist Mennonite woman living in the Shenandoah Valley during the Civil War, who hid deserters and draft dodgers in a secret cellar under her home. There will be a book signing after the talk.

Contact Anne McCrery at anne.mccrery@lva.virginia.gov or 804.692.3568 for more information. This talk is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Limited free parking is available underneath the Library at 800 East Broad Street.
